Information sharing is critical for Lean to be successful. There is no use having great ideas and systems of work if nobody else knows about them. Plus, there must also be something to compare against to show how or if something is good or better than before. In LEAN Times 72 we featured tools and gadgets sourced by Paul Lynch from Jones Engineering Maintenance Division. Paul shared his array of tools and showed how they could make life much easier for the Pipe Fitter.

Since the LEAN Times featured Paul both he and the Lean Dept; have had several requests for more information regarding his tools.
The Jones Engineering Lean Dept; agreed that Paul deserved to be an “A Better Way” winner and rewarded him with €100 gift voucher. Paul is seen in the above image receiving his voucher. This brings to €3,400 the amount of rewards Jones Engineering has paid to its personnel for contributing to the “A Better Way” program since our Lean journey began.
We are committed to this program and welcome suggestions from all divisions of the company. Ideas and suggestions can be written on “A Better Way” cards and posted in the post boxes located on most large sites or emailed to lean@joneseng.com
