Never Say “Impossible”
For some people the word “impossible” creeps into their vocabulary on a regular basis. Not so long ago a return journey to the moon would have been considered a ridiculous proposition. Now, we are heading to Mars! Thankfully not everyone thinks the same way.
For some people just the remote possibility engages their imagination, their passion and their energy. Were it not for those people we would still be just gazing at the moon. “Possible” is a position we take — and so is “impossible.” What looks impossible to you and your colleagues? What, if it were possible, would bring significantly more value to your customers, your colleagues and your company?
Thankfully the JEG team working on the Cadbury site in Coolock have a “Can do” attitude and don’t let potential problems stand in their way. Our JEG mechanical site Supervisor recently received a phone call from one of the Cadbury Engineers explaining that there was a leak of glucose at the glucose tank pumping station and they needed someone to fix the leak. When the lads went to survey the job, they found that the spilt glucose had attracted hundreds of bees and the area was not safe to work in. Undeterred by this issue, the guys looked for a solution that would still allow them to fix the problem. Pest control specialists were unable to help immediately. When one of the lads suggested bee keeping PPE, he was partially joking….. but this turned out to bee the perfect solution!
